Build a house, phase 2.

Just as winter has arrived, so have our windows!

We have a few of them…

Perhaps the very first thing I talked about with our architect was the desire for lots of natural light. To me, it is a critical part of my work and well, general level of happiness.

The photo above is a hallway that has floor to ceiling windows on one side. In other words, it’s a built-in light box for photography. So cool. And down at the end of the hallway on the left is my future workroom. Words cannot express how much I am looking forward to that space.

As December rolls along, hopefully we’ll see mechanical work being done.

Patience…

I love seeing home building photos. Never miss an episode of “This Old House” if I can help it. I need to do this too. I just don’t know how to start on such a big project. It seems overwhelming and I work full-time+. Good luck and I look forward to seeing lots more pictures – both during and after. BTW, I LOVE your knitwear designs. Please keep me in mind for any test knitting. Happy New Year from KimmyZ (Ravelry ID)

Hi Julie. I just listened to your interview on the woolful podcast and I really enjoyed it. Your house project looks amazing. Thank you for providing so many Brooklyn tweed fans with beautiful patterns to knit. I am a graphic designer, knitter, alpaca farmer and huge fan of BT. I actually have my application in to BT for the graphic design job. I live in NJ and am praying that I get a chance! Would be amazing to be a part of the company. Hope you are having a great holiday break.
