INTRODUCTIONS

Fall is here, and nothing gives me more joy than offering you two sweaters worthy of all the work you will put into knitting them. As always, they both contain thoughtful details and considered instructions for shaping and construction in order to be well-loved and long-lasting. Each Sweater Club pairing takes on a new level of excitement for me, and I hope for you as well.

This Sweater Club will proceed the same as usual with one exception: there will not be a trunk show after registration ends. The good news is, there will be an opportunity for 300 memberships this time. Get your spot before it’s full!

Registered members of Sweater Club will have access to more photos and all the pattern details; but as I always promise to show everyone what they’re getting in advance, the exclusive patterns and featured yarn that will ship with Sweater Club 2018—02 are as follows:

PARKER

The coziest sweater imaginable, Parker is a knock-out knee length cardigan with a wide fisherman’s collar featuring Purl Soho’s Good Wool—a wonderful natural/undyed yarn from the Andean highlands. Pick your favorite between three gorgeous neutral shades that will coordinate easily with what is already in your closet. Once the temperature drops, you’re not going to want to take this off.

The main cardigan is worked in pieces from the bottom up and seamed for necessary structure. The collar is worked in two pieces and joined with a decorative bind-off detail, then sewn around cardigan fronts.

HARDEN

The Harden pullover has deep raglan ribbed details that travel from the split hem to the round neckline and features Purl Soho’s Understory yarn—a gorgeous blend of baby alpaca, baby yak and silk that has impeccable texture, drape and sheen. The palette of muted tones is perfect for wearing Fall through Winter.

With unique shaping everywhere, this is no ordinary raglan pullover. Worked in pieces from the bottom up, you’ll appreciate the fit, longevity, and quality of this garment for years to come.

PURL SOHO’S GOOD WOOL + UNDERSTORY

It’s no wonder I selected two different yarns for this Fall pairing, I’ve fallen in love with both.

Having grown that way on the sheep, Good Wool is naturally beautiful and also gentle on the environment. It is a light worsted weight that is lofty and sturdy, as well as warm and soft.

Going all-in with three amazing fibers, Understory combines alpaca, yak, and silk in just the right amounts, creating a fabric that is surprisingly light for having such wonderful drape.
