What is Sweater Club ?

A little introduction.

My design inspiration comes directly from the fabric created when using a specific yarn and stitch pattern, and I have to admit it's my favorite thing when I see knitters using the suggested yarn. I know they're experiencing a project exactly how I intended it, and I can share in their joy of knitting, wearing, and cherishing it. This motivated me to begin a Sweater Club—to facilitate that perfect marriage of timeless pattern and meticulously selected yarn.

Unlike many yarn and sweater clubs out there, you will know what you're getting before it arrives.

What you get.

Each Sweater Club release offers multiple designs (typically a cardigan + a pullover) by Julie Hoover and features a specific yarn in a curated color palette. You may choose one or both sweaters, including the pattern and the yarn, as a kit.

How to order your kit.

Each sweater design is sold separately in the Project Kit section of this site. There is no pre-registration or membership fee.

Select the size and yarn color of the design of your choice and complete your purchase. The pattern will arrive digitally by email when the yarn has been shipped.

Does the pattern cost extra?
The pattern is complimentary with a sweater-quantity kit and half-price with a 1-skein swatching quantity kit.

Are the patterns printed or digital?
Reducing our carbon footprint is a priority, so each pattern is exported as a high-quality digital PDF that can be stored on your computer, mobile device, or printed.

Will the patterns be available elsewhere?
The patterns are exclusive to Sweater Club for the time specified.

How long before I get my kit?
Kits should arrive approximately 1-2 weeks after ordering unless otherwise specified.

What if I need to purchase more yarn?
The yardage estimates for each size include +10% for swatching and variance in the knitter's tension. If you would like extra, we suggest you purchase additional skeins in the Yarn section as soon as possible, as quantities of yarn are limited, and dye lots often sell out.

Can you ship internationally?
Yes. You will see the shipping fee associated with your location during checkout. International knitters can also consider participating in this service (or one like it). Be aware that there are additional duties/taxes owed once the package arrives, so consider those costs carefully before ordering.

What is your return policy?
There are no refunds after your kit has shipped or Sweater Club closes, but items damaged or lost in shipment will be replaced at no additional cost. Damage must be reported within 48 hours of your order being delivered.

How can we share our projects with everyone?
The patterns will be added to the Ravelry database so you can share your WIPs and finished projects with your friends. If you're an Instagram or Twitter user, don't forget to post with the hashtag #juliehooversweaterclub so we can follow along!
