Featuring tailored details and a timeless tweed fabric, Dern is fall’s new quintessential cardigan. We love everything about this cozy sweater, from the generous front pockets to the ribbed front/neck facing that adds structure and depth.
We are delighted to introduce this pattern in our favorite classic colors of Purl Soho’s Hedgerow, a lovely 93% merino wool, 3.5% cashmere, and 3.5% mulberry silk yarn milled in County Donegal. This special mix makes for a more gentle hand and drape than strictly traditional Irish wool, while still celebrating the aesthetic and integrity of Donegal tweeds. The yardage estimate for each kit factors enough yarn for the garment in the selected size, plus 10% for a 6- to 8-inch swatch and knitter tension variance.
Each Dern Project Kit includes a free digital pattern ($10 value), delivered by email at the time of shipping. The pattern is exclusive to Sweater Club until November 15, 2023.

Construction
Cardigan is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up and sewn together. Incorporated ribbed collar and center front facings are turned and sewn to the inside.
