Sweater Club 8

Asking seriously … “How are you??”

I don’t think I’m alone in saying that we seem to be in a period of pulling back and introspection this year. It feels this way online (thanks to incomprehensible social media algorithms) and also to a degree in real life. In my work, this has meant bucking trends and focusing on pieces that feel grounded and can find an immediate place in your closet.

Or, maybe this is where I have been unconsciously heading all along?

Looking back on my journal post for the previous Sweater Club, this part is especially true now…

“Even though what I offer customers is the elements to craft their own clothing, I've always considered what I do is essentially creating sustainable fashion. We all express ourselves (in terms of style, mood, or attitude) through the clothes we wear. My aim is always to create classic, clean, and sophisticated fashion options, allowing each crafter to enhance their own self-expression as they evolve over time.”

Today, I’m thrilled to introduce the design/yarn pairings for Sweater Club 8!

The theme for Sweater Club 8 is three classic wardrobe staples: a cardigan, pullover, and vest. Each piece is worked simply to celebrate the thoughtful details and yarn characteristics fully. I hope to inspire you to create dependable garments crafted with high-quality materials worthy of handing to future generations’ closets.

Sweater Club 8 is rolling out a little differently than in the past. Here’s what’s new:

  1. Receive a special discount price (plus, the pattern is included free) for the first week!

  2. The sweaters will be released over two weeks. On week one (10/4 through 10/11), the Dern project kit will be available for pre-order; on week two (10/11 through 10/18), the Melrose Vest and Collins project kits will be released.

  3. The digital patterns will not be released outside Sweater Club until November 15, 2023.

It's launch day. I couldn't be more excited, and I'm genuinely grateful. I hope my work inspires you to create something special for yourself or a loved one. I package every kit myself, so you know when it arrives, it has been sent with my very best wishes.
