Sweater Club 9

Considering the rollercoaster ride of the past few months, I hope this is coming at a good time. I have been working on this small collection of patterns, no kidding, since last summer, and I’m super excited to finally introduce them to you!

Sweater Club 9 pairs three original knitting patterns with Lamana’s Milano and Premia yarns, which are luxuriously soft and light as air. I know you hear those terms overused for yarn, but I’m completely serious. I can’t tell you how light and soft these pieces feel to knit and especially to wear.

Whether you’re a new or long-time customer, I know you will appreciate the quality and thoughtful details of each design, and with warmer weather quickly approaching, these light-weight projects will surely jump to the front of your queue.

Let’s get to the introductions!

Breeze

This stylish sweater is the perfect option when you need an extra-light layer to take the chill off (think restaurant with the air conditioning turned too high). Using three complementary colors with a stripe transition, Breeze is knit in a combination of reverse stockinette and plain stockinette to create a subtle change in fabric texture. The classic silhouette of this open-front cardigan features set-in sleeves and a shawl-collar neckline.

Valley Sweater

Ideally suited to wear on a casual night out, an elegant special occasion, or anything in between, the Valley pullover features a minimal geometric lace pattern that is fun to knit and is guaranteed to be a compliment magnet every time you wear it. Knitted from the bottom up in pieces, this sweater’s shaping offers a fantastic, relaxed fit. The folded collar anchors the silhouette and is stunning when knitted as a full-length turtleneck, but you could stop at a crewneck if you prefer.

Meadow Cowl

A cable-knitting dream project, the simple offset pattern offers a relaxing and addictive knit, but the best part is when you get to wear the finished piece. It’s the kind of accessory you may plan to give as a gift but will be tempted to keep for yourself. The Meadow cowl can be worn single or double around the neck or draped around the shoulders. It’s so soft and light, I guarantee you will not want to take it off.

Each Sweater Club 9 design is available for pre-order as independent project kits, which include a free digital pattern ($10 value) and the yarn required to knit the size of your choice. The pre-order timeframe is from April 23 through May 7 only, and kits will ship approximately May 16. (Note: The digital patterns will not be released outside Sweater Club until July 2.)
